February 27 — Samohi Wind Ensemble Concert

Santa Monica High School’s award-winning Wind Ensemble will be performing in an international music festival at historic Chicago Symphony Hall next month. This 2/27 performance at the Broad Stage will include special guest David Searfoss, whose trumpet solos can be heard in the movie “Lincoln.” Two Wind Ensemble members, Eli Brown (trumpet) and Ryan Roberts (oboe), were recently chosen to participate in the new National Youth Symphony of the United States this coming summer. That orchestra will be performing in Washington, DC, and in London, St. Petersburg, and Moscow.
