Beginning February 25th: “Kindergarten Round-up” events for the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District — SMMUSD elementary school will be welcoming resident parents of incoming Kindergarteners and Transitional Kindergarteners. Parents can meet the principal of their neighborhood school, visit classrooms, and enroll their children for either Kindergarten or Transitional Kindergarten.
To be eligible for Kindergarten, students must turn five on or before September 1, 2015. To be eligible for Transitional Kindergarten, students must turn five on September 2 through December 2, 2015. Parents will need to bring their child’s birth certificate, health records, and verification of residence in Santa Monica or Malibu (gas, water, or electric bill will suffice).
