Virginia Avenue Park, Thelma Terry building — Robert Howard, Restorative Justice Coordinator at Santa Monica High School, will discuss alternatives that could impact the “suspension to prison” pipeline that affects students of color.

July 7 – “Mikey and Me: Life with My Exceptional Sister” — 2 PM
Longtime Sunset Park resident Teresa Sullivan shares the moving story of life with her sister Mikey, a severely disabled girl who was institutionalized at twelve years old. Sullivan’s award winning memoir is an unflinching and insightful portrait of sisterhood and family. Fairview Library
