The Trustees have placed a $345 million facilities bond measure on the November 2016 ballot.

Current SMC facilities bonds total $613 million and will cost Santa Monica and Malibu property owners and renters about $1.2 billion to pay off (including interest). The proposed bond measure would bring the total to $958 million and probably cost property owners about $2 billion to pay off.
