Airport-related measures on the November ballot: LC and D

The Friends of Sunset Park Board of Directors has voted to support “Yes on LC, No on D.

 

A “yes” vote on Santa Monica ballot measure LC will:

  • Keep Santa Monica residents in control of our airport land,
  • Preserve open space for the residents’ use, not special interests,
  • Empower the City to end jet noise and jet air pollution, and
  • Ensure that no development would be allowed without voter approval.

Airport-related measures on the November ballot: LC and D

 

During the spring, paid signature gatherers, funded by the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, collected sufficient petition signatures to place on the November ballot an initiative, Measure D, which would amend the City Charter with regard to Santa Monica Airport.
